SELECTED DRAWINGS and PAINTINGS
Barbara Rosenthal began formal training in nude figure drawing at the age of 14 in a studio class of eager teens and experienced adults, under the artist Isaac Soyer at the Brooklyn Museum Art School. After two years there, she enrolled at The Art Students' Leage for another two years, then a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University (with Jr Yr Abroad in Rome with Tyler School of Art). Then an MFA at Queens College, under pictorialist Louis Finklestein and colorist Herb Aach.In 1976 she transitrioned to photography and video.
